Women’s Urologic Health

ABOUT

Urologic discomfort can be frustrating and affect many areas of one’s life. At Balance Point Health, we’re proud of what we do and the care we give our patients. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create intentional solutions at every turn.

We treat many urologic concerns that afflict women of all ages across multitudes of differences. We understand that each case is individual and deserves a renewed sense of care and concern. We are committed to prioritizing non-invasive symptom management strategies to reduce the amount of additional stress put on the entire body, as we know procedures can increase stress rather than assuage it.

Our team offers evaluations and medication-based treatments and symptom management plans that are tailored to your lifestyle and meet your wellness goals.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

Frequent UTIs are caused by bacteria entering the urethra, usually due to sexual activity, menopause-related hormonal changes, or genetic susceptibility. Our key treatments include low-dosage, long-term preventative antibiotics, post-coital antibiotics, vaginal estrogen for post-menopausal women, and non-antibiotic therapies. Urine cultures are essential to identify the specific cause of your issue and personalize your treatment plan.

We offer evaluation and medication based treatment and symptom management plans that help reduce symptoms and your overall discomfort.

Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

Incontinence

Incontinence in women is primarily caused by pelvic floor weakness, nerve damage, or increased bladder pressure due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, or obesity. Other common factors include urinary tract infections (UTIs), chronic coughing, constipation, and certain medications. Our treatments begin conservatively with pelvic floor therapy, lifestyle changes, and bladder training. For persistent issues we recommend medication, minimally invasive procedures, and nerve stimulation.

We offer evaluation and medication based treatment and symptom management plans that help reduce symptoms and your overall discomfort depending on your lifestyle and wellness goals.

Overactive Bladder (OAB)

Overactive Bladder (OAB) is primarily caused by involuntary bladder muscle contractions, often caused by nerve damage, aging, menopause, or pelvic floor weakness from childbirth. To treat OAB, we recommend starting with lifestyle adjustments, pelvic floor therapy, and bladder training. If symptoms persist, we offer treatments like medication to relax the bladder, minimally invasive procedures like botox injections, nerve stimulation, or vaginal pessaries.

We provide discreet evaluation and evidence-based medical treatment options and symptom management plans to help reduce symptoms and your overall discomfort.

Urinary Discomfort

Urinary discomfort or pain can be caused by various factors. We often address concerns ranging from common infections, to pelvic floor dysfunction, to chronic pain. No matter the case, we provide specialized diagnostic testing to tailor our treatment plans for you. Treatments recommended include medications, lifestyle modifications, pelvic floor therapy, or minimally invasive procedures.

We offer thorough evaluations, evidence-based medical treatment options, and symptom management plans to help reduce symptoms and your overall discomfort.

Hormonal Care

Hormonal changes are natural over the course of a woman’s life. Women undergo hormonal changes with age, first with puberty, possibly while pregnant, then with menopause later in life. Further, many factors influence the fluctuation in hormone levels, for example, lifestyle factors like chronic stress or medical conditions like PCOS or diabetes. We commonly treat Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) or general sexual dysfunction which can be caused by low estrogen levels.

We offer comprehensive hormone evaluation and medically supervised therapy when appropriate to alleviate symptoms and discomfort.
